Prior to his ascension into heaven, Jesus told his disciples to “be witnesses to [Him] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) Since these were Jesus’ last words, it is imperative that we make them our first priority. A.L.A.R.M. has many different ministries that reach its “Jerusalem,” and rightly so. We are called to impact the areas closest to home. But Jesus calls for us to move beyond home to the places farthest away from us. We are called to the whole world and not just the part outside our back door.
It is important to note that the Missions Ministry does not exist for ministry only. It also exists to promote cultural awareness, educational opportunities and genuine, cross-cultural relationships. We endeavor to carry out missions around the world, as well as in our own backyard. Sometimes the “uttermost part of the world” by necessity is right around us or in other cities of our United States of America. As we embrace our home land assignment, we feed hundreds of families each month through our ministry Food and Clothing. We also minister in several prisons, and we have successfully assisted former prisoners with finding employment and housing as they reenter society. In the month of December we partner with the Angel Tree Program by providing gifts to children of individuals who are absent from home due to incarceration. And one of our greatest joys is that we produce future leaders through our “Boys to Leaders” and “Celebration of Girls” programs.
We have traveled to the Philippines where we shared the gospel, fed thousands, and helped construct/renovate a worship facility. Our ministry also aided in the rebuilding efforts in Haiti by making financial contributions and donating supplies. Furthermore, we have partnered with a local ministry in Haiti to continue our mission efforts. Also, in February 2013, a team of 15 individuals travelled to Kampala, Uganda on a 10-day mission trip hosted by Pastor Joshua Kuteesa, pastor of Mukono Prayer Palace. The team provided school supplies and educational support to the Shiloh Junior School where they are raising champions. This was a powerful time of educational empowerment at the school during the day and spiritual revival during our worship experiences at night.
Periodically, ALARM Missions collects items such as toys, clothing and medical supplies to ship overseas. In addition to collecting donations, we also raise funds for various international causes. The money we receive helps to feed children, evangelize unreached people and groups, host crusades, provide education, meet medical needs and cover some of the basic needs of missionaries.
We partner with other churches as well as established agencies to do business for the Kingdom in helping the less fortunate, and to assure that we are doing the Will of the Father, who commanded us to “go into all the World and preach the gospel” – Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16: 15-20.
If you are interested in donating supplies or making a monetary investment to further our outreach, please contact us at (850) 216-1800 or you may send an email to info@alarmministries.org and someone from our ministry will contact you.
